Büttner

Dominic Büttner, born 1964 in Basel, trained as a photographer at the “Ecole supérieure d’arts appliqués” in Vevey (1986-1990) and then worked for different newspapers.

He has been a freelancer for many years, specialising in architectural photography, portraits and documentaries. He became known for the work he did for the Beyeler Foundation, the Zurich Kunsthaus, the Aarau Kunsthaus and the Swiss National Bank.

He has published in newspapers and magazines including The New York Times, The Financial Times, Die Zeit, Focus Magazin, NZZ am Sonntag and others. He was a co-founder of the Pixsil agency in 2003 and the Lunax agency in 2015. Dominic Büttner has had exhibitions of his work in Bienne, at the Museum für Gestaltung and the Photobastei, both in Zurich.

In 2017 Dominic Büttner is invited to show his work «dreamscapes» at the international Fotofestival Rencontres d'Arles.
