Extreme in every aspect
The ALPA 12 PANO is a camera for those who demand more than wide. Extreme image circles, extreme movements, extreme precision. This instrument pushes the boundaries of panoramic photography.
Many renowned manufacturers have written history with panoramic cameras. ALPA continues this story in its own way, shaped by Swiss craft and mechanical clarity. With an exceptional 70 millimeters of lateral shift on the sensor plane, plus additional 20 millimeters of rise & fall, the PANO enables the creation of ultra-high-quality flat-stitched panoramas without rotating the camera. In the hands of those who seek perfection, it turns vast horizons into measured masterpieces.
Command horizons with perfectly aligned panoramas and astonishing edge to edge detail.

Power. Shift.
The ALPA 12 PANO is the only camera in the world offering an exceptional 70 millimeters of horizontal shift combined with 20 millimeters of rise and fall. This freedom transforms vast scenes into compositions of perfect geometry and balance. Each movement is guided with absolute smoothness and stability. Expansive by nature, exact by design.

Flat Stitching Mastery
The ALPA 12 PANO opens new dimensions for flat stitching, where even the largest image circles are used to their limits. Instead of rotating around the nodal point, the sensor moves parallel within the optical axis. Each frame remains perfectly aligned, eliminating distortion, guesswork, and the need for time-consuming nodal point correction.

panoramic perfection
Compared to traditional rotational panoramas, flat stitching ensures precise framing and minimal cropping. The composition you see is the composition you get. The result is a process that transfers the full optical excellence of ALPA lenses directly to your image.

Pre-Set Precision
The PANO features precisely engineered detents along the shifting path that define pre-set positions for consistent stitching and seamless overlap. Each stop clicks into place with mechanical confidence, letting you move intuitively from frame to frame.
The customizable detents make it possible to capture complex panoramas quickly and repeatably, even when light or weather change from moment to moment. Available with individually adjustable spacing, they provide speed, control, and reliability in conditions where precision cannot wait.

True Level for True Horizons
The analog spirit levels provide instant orientation across all axes, helping to preserve geometry across long shifts and guide every composition toward seamless alignment. Pure function. Pure focus.

Vertical Flex
The camera even offers ±10 millimeters of vertical shift on the lens plate. Use rise and fall to balance sky and foreground, to keep horizons exactly placed, and to maintain true verticals in architecture. Or stitch breathtaking multilevel panoramas.
Independent controls and a positive lock deliver repeatable micro adjustments for compositions measured to the millimeter.

Traces of Craft
The fine microstructures in every ALPA are subtle signatures, revealed only to those who look closely. Like fingerprints in metal, they are delicate traces of a precise creation process. ALPA does not strive for industrial uniformity, but for instruments with personality. Each detail tells its own story, turning every camera into an exceptional piece. As individual as its owner.
